Overview

FocusBoat helps you complete focus sessions, understand your progress, limit distracting apps, and focus with a crew. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the FocusBoat iOS app and website.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we may receive your user identifier, name, email address, and profile image from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. We also store account settings, onboarding choices, focus goals, completed focus duration, crew membership, and subscription status.

Support emails include the information you choose to send us. Service providers may also process limited device, diagnostic, authentication, and transaction information needed to operate their services.

Screen Time information

FocusBoat requests Apple Screen Time permission only when you choose to enable app blocking or usage insights. Apple's Family Controls and Device Activity frameworks process this information on your device and provide the app with the data needed to deliver those features.

FocusBoat does not use Screen Time information for advertising or sell it to third parties. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings.

How we use information

• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Provide focus sessions, crews, rankings, and progress.
• Manage subscriptions and restore purchases.
• Respond to support, privacy, and account requests.
• Maintain reliability and prevent misuse.

Service providers

FocusBoat uses Apple services, Google Sign-In, Firebase for authentication and cloud data, and RevenueCat for subscription management. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.

Retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. You can request account deletion from the app settings or contact us. Some limited records may remain where legally required.

Children

FocusBoat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it.

Your choices

You can change app permissions in iOS Settings, disconnect from a crew, sign out, or request deletion of your account and associated information. Contact us for access, correction, or deletion requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as FocusBoat changes. The latest version will remain available on this page with its effective date.
